Angelo Mathews: It was a hard Test match. We are disappointed not to win it. The batters would have loved to continue batting for the next two days on this wicket. All credit to Sangakkara, Dilshan for batting well and also the youngsters, Chandimal and Thirimanne. We have a couple of days off and would like to take some rest and get ready for the next Test.
Mushfiqur Rahim (Man of the Match): It's really enjoyable when the team plays well together. After the way we bowled on the first day we were disappointed but we bowled much better on day 2 and the bowlers showed good character. Ashraful played a fine long innings along with Nasir. It's a great achievement for us to draw a Test match against Sri Lanka. Hope to continue the same way.
Bangladesh will be ecstatic with their batting performance in this Test match and would look to carry on with the good work. Sri Lanka on the other hand would be disappointed not to take the lead in the series, which they were expected to. The bowling was average from both sides.
1613 runs for 19 wickets! A Test match completely dominated by the batsmen. As many as eight centuries were scored in the game and it was a graveyard for the bowlers. However, it's a draw, Bangladesh will consider it as nothing less than a win. They gave a tough fight to Sri Lanka and against all odds they not only wiped out the massive first innings deficit but also gathered some lead to bolster their confidence.
It's a tame draw! This is also Bangladesh's first draw against Sri Lanka, as they have lost all the 12 Test matches they played against them before.
